Dan and I are about the same age. In the 1970s when Dan lived in Ithaca, NY, we were very close and had good times and great adventures together. I think we learned from each other as we went along, but I don’t have any specific teaching or incident that I can contribute to your binder.
We laughed a lot.
We saw him only occasionally after he moved to DC and then to Washington, but we have stayed in touch.

I am reading Sand Talk, but I have to admit that it’s hard going for my western mind. When he recommended it to me, I told him that I had just finished The Dawn of Everything. I recommend it.
