Very sorry to hear of Dan’s passing, so sad for everyone. He was such a pleasant man and had such an interest in life and people, enjoyed many talks with him when he was around Kinsale and also over zoom. He was also kind enough to offer accommodation to my two sons who were doing a road trip around North America a few years ago, until I warned him they were with their 5 buddies (and that wouldn’t be much fun for Dan and family).
Really enjoyed seeing Dan’s sketch (during Covid period) hearing confessions on the roadside via his homemade telephone system, how did he think of it… so funny.
On behalf of myself and the Men’s Shed I offer my sympathies to you on your sad loss.
He was very special, a one off, may he rest in peace.
Yours sincerely,
Bernard O’ Donovan
